Menu - 2nd week of January

We're to the point that we literally only *need* to purchase fresh fruits and veggies this week being that I've been shopping the sales and buying in bulk, we still have four dozen farm eggs and nine gallons of milk from the farm. I'm still keeping our $150 weekly food budget, but will continue to build our emergency pantry and buy only non-neededs if they are on a good sale (and I hopefully have coupons). We are working up to the point of purchasing a chest freezer (deep freeze) to give us much needed storage space for our monthly milk runs and purchasing quality, local meat in bulk.

Weekly Food Bill $150
(any remaining balance will go toward a deep freeze - $198 at Home Depot and we're watching craigslist closely!)
Rite Aid $15.00
Fred Meyers $80
Walgreens $10.00
Monthly Costco $200 (larger bill this month, but being this is the month they had good coupons, it behooves us to spend more now to save later)

  2. Not really, lol. Did you find good ones??? They have the coffee that I had budgeted $30 for Freddy's (5 weeks worth) - but I think I'll be ordering through Puritan's Pride.

I can get (5) 12 oz packages of Organic beans for less than I can get four of the main stream brand. If I order tonight I get $15 off of a $75 order or $5 off a $50 order + 10% cash back on ebates. Need anything?

  3. And I need to actually do my shopping tonight to see what I have left of our grocery budget - I'd like to order some spearmint oil for making our own toothpaste and peppermint and lemon oils for the laundry soap. All are BIGIFree at Puritan's Pride.

  4. Sweet deal on the coffee, but you can get the essential oils cheaper on Vitacost. But that doesn't take into account your $15 off :)

  5. O, and I used the toilet paper coupon, avacados, prepared fruit (err), and trash bags.
